Gobustan museum and natural park is one of the must see places in Azerbaijan. Gobustan national park (Qobustan milli parkı) is one of the ten national parks in Azerbaijan, bearing the status of government protection. With the collection of more than six thousand rock carvings of primitive humans, animals, boats, ritual dances and many more, Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape is a very interesting place for the both the kids and adults. Located 60 km to the south of Baku, Gobustan Rock Art is an outstanding historical territory to spend your time during the visit to Azerbaijan. You will discover the signs of first human where people lived 40 000 years ago; observing historical findings ranging from Neolithic graffiti to archeological discoveries will be an outstanding experience.
Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape is included into the World Social Legacy List, considered as the UNESCO historical site starting from July 2, 2007.
